First things first.
Congratulations. We are very happy for you both.
So, you have said the words and are now starting your journey on the Wedding Train. It’s very daunting. So much to do, to plan, to pay for. Got to find a wedding venue, ceremony venue, party venue, registrars or church, rings, flowers, cake all that gubbins.
A step by step guide
Follow these easy steps and we will help make the wedding venue journey a smooth and enjoyable one.
Contact the DM Events Team.
Fill in the Enquiry Form and we can get the ball rolling.
We shall reply and advise of availability, pricing and food options and suggest a meeting. We can then give you a tour of the building and discuss the many options we have. It’s all no obligation until you pay a deposit.
Once the date is decided, we are happy to hold it for 2 weeks whilst you contact the registrars or Church.
Once the Registrar is booked and you confirm with DMB that it’s a go, we will ask for a deposit.
Once the deposit is paid – it’s all official and we, together, start planning the best day ever.
We shall meet whenever you need to and can supply details for cakes, hair, dresses, DJs and just about anything else you may need.
6 months before the wedding we shall ask for the bulk of the hire to be paid.
One month before we ask that all costs except for the food are paid in full.
2 weeks before the wedding we will need final food details, numbers, special dietary requirements etc.

Southampton Registry Office and West Gate Hall
The Westgate Hall is a beautiful barn-like building with exposed beams hidden within the old walls of the city. It has recently been restored and beautifully decorated to give a charming and vintage feel to your wedding. The Westgate Hall has a very exclusive feel and holds a maximum of 74 guests.

Alternatively, there is the Golden Jubilee Room at the Southampton Registry Office in Bugle Street. Tucked just behind the Dancing Man Brewery the Golden Jubilee Room boasts a beautiful Millennium stained glass window showing Southampton’s links with the Sea. With its impressive high ceiling and unique timber arches, the Golden Jubilee Room is an ideal venue for your wedding and holds 55 guests (with 10 more standing).
